Vacancy

The roles at MoaAlm include chef, yoga teacher and housekeeper. We often combine a role with helping with social media, chopping wood and snow clearing in the winter! FOOD

At MoaAlm we love food!

There is no better start of the day than a nutritious breakfast. We serve fresh fruits, oats and cereals, bread, organic coffee and so much more. After an active day in the outdoors, relax with a cup of tea or coffee and enjoy our freshly baked plant based cake. Dinner is always a delicious three course plant based meal made with lots of love and attention and served on our communal dining table.

We are passionate about healthy sustainable living and as a result the ingredients for all of our meals are organic and as locally sourced as possible. We believe nature knows best when it comes to our health and therefore our daily, three course menu changes with the seasons. Our evening meals are plant based, vegan or vegetarian.

We also like to offer our guests the opportunity to experience to try traditional Austrian fare with a MoaAlm "twist", and we are sure you will enjoy our carefully developed menu with influences from across the globe.

Nationalpark Hohe Tauern

Nationalpark Hohe Tauern

We are proud to be living right on the edge of the national park area of the Hohe Tauern mountain region of East Tirol. The Hohe Tauern National Park is truly unique, as its the biggest national park in Austria and within the European Alps. Highlights of the park are its numerous high peaks,  glaciers, alpine creeks, lakes and of course the untouched mountainous natural environment.

Most of our hikes in the summer, as well as our snowshoe walks in winter are within the national park. It's truly spectacular to walk on the trails that lead over mountains and hills, through empty valleys whilst being surrounded by colourful Flora and Fauna. You are continuously distracted by breathtaking views!

Hopefully while hiking you will experience the Alpine wildlife, among which are the big five: Bearded vulture, Ibex, Golden Eagle, Gams and Griffon vulture. Our hiking guide is also a National Park Ranger and has so much knowledge to share about Alpine life.

For more details on the National Park and why we are lucky that MoaAlm Mountain Retreat is located within it, then visit the National Park Hohe Tauern website.
